The German machineguns used in world war 2 was impressive weapons, specially the Mg42 which had such a high rate of fire that it sounded like tearing up a piece of silk when fired. Among soldiers it was called "the Hitler saw" and a few well placed Mg nests could halt entire regiments all by themself. Being a very reliable weapon the Mg42 is still used in armies around the world today having only seen minor upgrades and improvements. I am ofcourse dreaming about finding a Mg in the ground one day, but until now I have only found ammo, belts and canisters for it.
These ammo belts was found in Kurland, outside Frauenburg.
