HobbyHistoricaWax 15ml.
A few months back Andris came up with the idea that we should make our own "relic wax" to use for protecting our relics from further rusting and deteriorating.
Microcrystalline waxes and a tiny bit of resins was blended to a suitable consistency and suddenly we had a lot of it. It was made way too much for our own use so some jars and labels was produced and we can now offer this wax for all you collectors as well.
The wax is best applied in a thin layer and it will dry hard quickly and then you buff it using a soft cloth or just your fingers. For larger items I have diluted the wax with white spirits until a milky like consistency and applied it with a brush before buffing it.
A little goes a long way.

Sturmovik Shotglass SetSturmovik Shotglass set.
Two shotglasses made from 23mm ammo casings used by the Vy-23 machine cannon mounted on ww2 Soviet IL-2 Sturmovik ground attack airplane. The casings was found on the Kurland battlefields and we decided to keep them unpolished as the original patina really brings the history to life. The shotglasses comes with a miniature ammo crate and also we have added a real IL-2 relic. A piece which probably is from the planes skin. It has holes from rivets and a dark brown/green paint. The relic was found on the site of a Sturmovik shot down by the Germans somewhere in Kurland. The size of the crate is 10,5x7x5cm. |
German Spurrs,Geb.JägerGerman spurrs. Found on a capitulation site for Gebirgs Jägers in Northern Norway. Not cleaned, only rinsed with water so it might be possible to find some of the original paint underneath the rust.
