Heer Belt Buckle with part of the belt, and leather pouch with the imprint of an Edelweiss where a badge was sown on. Found together in a Wehrmacht camp/Gebirgsjäger capitulation site in Northern Norway. Buckle is lightly cleaned.
The scene is a Fallschirmjäger stuck in a wet and muddy trench. Smoking his pipe he is staring at the cloudy skies trying to come to terms with the irony of the situation.
