German belt buckles is fast becoming my favorite collectible. I think they are great because they don`t take up much space , they are very detailed and there is just so many variants of them and lots of different producers made them. I specially like worn and battledamaged pieces as they have a story to tell. Here is the buckles I have so far. SA enlisted mans buckle. This was as far as I know discontinued in use back in 1936 , but it was found in a barn in an area in Nordland where Organization Todt had some large camps and storages. De-nazified Heer buckle with leather tab. Found in dumping pits in Nordland,Norway. Wasserschutzpolizei buckle. These units main task was to police the coasts,harbours and waterways. I got this from an old farmer living by a German built coastal fortress in Nordland. Heer buckle found by Narva. De-nazified Hitler Jugend buckle. From Germany. SS officer buckle. This was one of my first militaria items . I got it from a Norwegian digger in 1996 who had found it in the swamps by Mga , Leningrad ( St.Petersburg) Heer buckle and belt. Produced by Overhoff. Found this in a barn. RAD (ReichsArbeitsDienst) A battledamaged piece said to have been found in Germany. Battledamaged Hitler Jugend buckle , also found in Germany. Heer buckle. Found in Latvia.
