More from the workbench. A crated F1 "Lemonka" grenade ashtray. I had an extra ashtray and decided to make a small crate for it to see how that would look and Im reasonably satisfied with the result. The grenade used was found, cleaned and cut in the Ukraine and this set will be for sale in the shop. I ve been making several crates so more will be available soon with "Lemonkas"found on the Kurland Front and elsewhere on the Eastern Front.

One of the last days it was raining so I needed an alternative to digging. I had a look around the workbench, spotted a few items and the idea was born. I decided to take a Kurland relic, some 1/35 scale helmets and weapons and make a small diorama of the shop Rocksteady Militaria run by a fellow WW2 enthusiast Bas Bravenboer.
The base of the scene is a 75mm relic casing found near German fighting positions in the same dumping pit we dug out tons of Pz IV bits. I made a small table which I filled with tiny relics and militaria a shop like Bas`often stock. I am very pleased with the result and I think Bas was quite happy with the result as well. The result is on its way to him now:) If anyone needs a project like this made just contact me and we ll see what can be arranged:) |
