This morning I had doubts about going to the forest when I saw the dark sky, but I found my way out there in the end anyway. On my map I ve marked several spots to dig but I began with roaming around trying my luck with the Fisher and at the same time make a walk-through of a section of the woods I haven`t been in yet. I spent an hour doing that and I had absolutely no signals, could not see any signs of old roads, dug outs or barracks anywhere so I walked back towards one of the pins on the map. As I approached the dumping pit I wanted to dig, the Fisher gave off a great signal next to a tree. I dug alittle bit and found the corner of something big and as I got more of the sand away I saw what it was, a german field radio!! Wow, that was a fun find! It was in a bit shitty condition though but I was all a big smile. Inspired I strolled around alittle bit picking up rubbish here and there and when I got tired of not finding anymore radios I went to the dumping pit.
The next couple of hours I dug out a little mountain of bottles; drinking bottles, small perfume and medical bottles and several nice glass jars. Very little metal was down there really, some rotted Juwel burners, wires and cans. Some cutlery in nice condition and lots of bakelite. Bakelite cups , lids, toothbrushes and two bakelite lamps I ve never seen before. I dug up a couple of 10 pfennig coins, a big glass ashtray and two schnapps glasses, one melted and one perfect. A few leather bits hid under some bottles, a pair of thick leather mittens, ancle boots and a pair of leather suspenders.
Finally the pit was empty and as I filled it back I checked over the spoils for any treasures I lost while digging it out. Perfect timing to go home for dinner and I was soaked and partly consumed by mosqitoes and gnats.

The pelikan lid is for a typewriter ribbon reel case I have 2 in my collection, the top usually had a gold paint finish ;) Might have a buyer for the field radio if youre selling once cleaned up ;)
